Carl Giles - 31 years
Like
many of this colleagues Carl started his working life at a motorcycle dealers
before breaking into GP's eight years ago.
Owner of a R6 and a club level trails rider he has been with Red Bull
Yamaha since '98.


Stephen Bennett - 39 years
Affectionately
known as "The Gob" by his teammates, Steve is rarely lost for words.
Starting out as a truck driver he learnt his trade 'on the job' and is
now on his 12th year in GPs. One
of the few people on the tam to have home life, in private he'll admit to being
a keen gardener.


Jez Wilson - 35 years
Now
in his third year with the team, Jez still races when he gets the chance and is
an Isle of Matt TT regular. A fan
of sports in general, he showed off his extensive knowledge of motorcycle racing
by winning the Year 2000 Donington Day of Champions Charity Quiz.


Manu Rolin 28 years
Until
'92 when he visited the Paris motorcycle show, Manu was keener on marathon
running and sailing than two-wheeled motorsport, Still and enthusiastic
sportsman he has already completed the Marathon de Paris.


Stewart Miller - 28years
Another
ex-racer, Stewart considers himself as the team's fashion guru and has been
known to dance the Highland Fling when sufficiently in the mood.
Second fastest (after the boss- Peter Clifford) when the team got a
chance to ride their YXFs at Philip Island in 2000.




Debbie Irvine
The
only lady mechanic in GP racing, Debbie trained to be a radiographer and in the
early days freelanced as a locum to earn enough money to work for privateer
teams for free. Another
hang over from those days, she always uses a torque wrench so as to reassure her
riders that the nuts and bolts are sufficiently tight.


François Charles - 38 Years - Data
Acquisition
In
G's since '95 and with WCM since '99, François has a PhD in computing and is
responsible for the acquisition and analysis of data for John Hopkins.
A recent father, he used to be keen on photography and model making until
GP racing took over his life. Like
all self-respecting Frenchman he still finds time to appreciate the odd glass of
wine.


Mats Melander - 37 years
One
of the rare members of the team not to actually own any bikes (he just borrows
them when the need arises) Mats has been working in GP's since 1981.
A keen ice hockey and football fan he is also the team's unofficial
bookmaker.


Biography


Phil Roe
Phil from County Durham in North East England, joined the Red
Bull Team in Year 2000. The 31 year old motorcycle fanatic, drives the Team Red
Bull, Scania 144, 530 HP Truck some 38 000 km each year to all of the European
GP's and Red Bull testing sessions. Phil has been working in the paddock for 6
years now having worked for Team Miller and Team Roberts before joining Red Bull
Yamaha. At home Phil rides a YZ 426R Motocross Bike or his Honda CBR 600 Sport
and when not on 2 wheels can be found on the Alps on 2 skies.



Daniel Petak
Daniel joined the Red Bull
Yamaha Team at the first race of the European Season in 2002 at Jerez in Spain and
works for the Race Engineers in taking care of the hundreds of Dunlop Tyres
needed each weekend. Daniel, 28
is from the Czech Republic and races in Motocross and SideCar Cross, coming 5th
in the Czech Republic Championships in 1997.
Daniel loves to spend time with his 6-year-old son also named Daniel.
