| James Ellison rides Harris WCM in Czech MotoGP round |
23 year old James Ellison makes his MotoGP debut at Brno in the Czech Grand Prix as replacement for injured Chris Burns on the Harris WCM.
Ellison currently leads the Privateer Cup in the British Superbike Championship on his Jentin Racing Yamaha and the team have sportingly released Ellison for this event.
Ellison won the European Superstock Championship in 2000 and 2001 with two wins and four wins respectively so has a similar background to WCM's other rider Michel Fabrizio, Superstock Champion in 2003. Ellison in fact raced against Fabrizio in that Championship so the pair already know each other.
Ellison and Jentin Racing turned in a truly stunning world superbike performance a couple of weeks ago at Brands Hatch with a fifth and sixth in the two races together with a ninth in the superpole making James the best performing Brit.
Burns was injured when he fell during practice for the British Grand Prix at Donington and broke his scaphoid but hopes that another two week's rest will see him fit for the Portuguese Grand Prix at Estoril
