Burns contested three rounds of the 125cc World Championship as a teenager back in 1997 as well as the British Grand Prix at Donington in 1998. `I am obviously delighted at the news, it is the best New Years present I have ever had, although I am under no illusions about the size of the task – it will be very hard indeed.
